Centered on the themes of peace and equity, the Canadian Youth Public Speaking Tournament II invited youth to examine challenges and opportunities related to inclusion, social justice, and community well-being.
Through prepared speeches and discussion, participants connected their ideas to the values reflected in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while strengthening public speaking, critical thinking, and leadership skills.

With the support of the Mayor and York University, we organized the York University Summer Debating Tournament, bringing together over 60 teams of students from Grades 7 to 12 across the Greater Toronto Area.
As organizers, we designed and coordinated a full-day program consisting of four rounds of debate, working with over 20 judges and multiple participating schools.
Awards were presented for Junior and Grand Champions, as well as outstanding speakers, with recognition from the Mayor for participants and contributors.
The tournament fostered critical thinking, communication, and collaboration, while creating meaningful opportunities for youth engagement.

We organized and hosted the first Public Speaking Tournament at the Markham Civic Centre with the support of the City of Markham.
The event welcomed students from Grades 3 to 12 across three age categories, with nine speakers recognized for outstanding performance.
The tournament was student-led, with high school judges bringing prior public speaking experience and ensuring fairness and professionalism throughout the event.
The Mayor attended to present awards and recognize participants and judges for their contributions.
The event provided a platform for students to share ideas, build confidence, and express themselves through public speaking.
